Algaecides are a backup support to chlorine to help control and prevent algae growth. Copper alagecides are very effective at killing algae, but care must be exercised in ensuring pH is in the range 7.2-7.4 - its optimum operating range, and also to minimise the possibility of copper staining.

Non-copper based alagecides like Busan are also very effective, and work well in a wider parameter range.

Use a clarifier to make your pool water sparkle, or to clear up cloudiness. Calrifiers can also improve sanitizer efficiency by trapping organic matter in the filter.
