The Polaris pool cleaner operates as a pressure side cleaner. This means that instead of connecting it to the skimmer suction inlet, it is connected to a return water jet to create "pressure" to turn an internal turbine in teh cleaner which makes it move around teh pool and create a venturi suction effect in to teh silt bag.

This most advanced pressure-side automatic pool cleaner operates without a booster pump. The Polaris 360 easily connects to a dedicated pressure line and is suitable for all in-ground pools. It sweeps, scrubs, and vacuums all surfaces of the pool. It also traps large debris like leaves and pebbles in its own filter bag.

Note, all return jets must be blocked off to enable this cleaner to operate.
