Are Poynters’ outdoor lounge and club chairs weatherproof?

Poynters’ outdoor lounge and club chairs are designed to live outside. Frames are typically powder-coated aluminium or teak framed that cope well with sun and rain. Cushions use outdoor fabrics and quick-dry foam that resist water, UV and mould. The foams can get wet with sustained rain, but will dry quickly with sun and wind. We do recommend storing or covering cushions during heavy rain or over winter, but the chair frames themselves can stay outdoors year-round.

Do the relaxing chairs recline or rock?

Some relaxing chairs in the Poynters range do offer motion features. Certain models include swivel bases or gentle rocking mechanisms, ideal for verandas or covered decks. There are also reclining outdoor lounge chairs with adjustable back positions. Many club chairs are fixed but designed with deep cushions and angled backs for laid-back comfort. How do I clean and care for the cushions on club chairs?

Cushions on Poynters’ outdoor club chairs are low-maintenance. Most have zippered covers that you can remove for hand-washing in extreme situations. But otherwise we just recommend a vacuum to remove dirt and then a gentle wipe down with soapy water and a clean cloth. Let cushions dry thoroughly if they get wet. Storing them under cover before big storms will reduce drying time and keep them looking fresh.
