What height are Poynters’ outdoor bar stools?

Poynters offers outdoor bar stools mainly in standard bar height, around 75 cm seat height, suited to bar tables or counters about 100–110 cm tall. Some models are available in counter height (around 65 cm for 90 cm benches). We list exact dimensions for each stool so you can match them correctly and ensure comfortable legroom and footrest use.

Are Poynters’ outdoor bar stools comfortable for longer sitting?

Many Poynters bar stools are designed with comfort in mind. You’ll find options with backrests and sometimes armrests for extra support, ideal for lingering over drinks or meals. We also stock backless stools for a more minimal look and easy access. Most stools include a sturdy footrest, some offer swivel seats and selected styles come with padded or cushioned tops for added comfort.

What materials are used in Poynters’ outdoor bar stools?

Our outdoor bar stools typically use powder-coated aluminium frames, sometimes with stainless steel details, plus seats in teak, synthetic wicker, rope or sling mesh. These materials are chosen to be rust-resistant, sturdy and suited to New Zealand weather. Bases are designed with stability in mind, so stools feel secure in normal conditions rather than top-heavy, while remaining light enough to move when needed.

Can outdoor bar stools be left outside all year round?

Yes. Poynters’ bar stool frames are made to stay outdoors year-round. Aluminium, teak and synthetic wicker handle rain, UV and coastal air well. Cushion fabrics are outdoor-grade and UV-resistant, though we recommend storing cushions or covering stools during extended wet periods to reduce cleaning and wear. A quick wash-down in spring is usually all that’s required to get them ready for use.

Do Poynters’ bar stools match their outdoor bar tables?

Often they do. Poynters carries coordinated collections where bar stools and bar tables share the same frame finishes, materials and overall style. Even across ranges, popular colours like charcoal, white and natural teak make it easy to create a cohesive setting. You can either choose a matching bar set or mix materials confidently, and our team can help you pair stools and tables that work well together.
